Tilting your head back in case of nasal bleeding can make the blood go into your windpipe or food pipe, obstructing your breathing. Keep your head straight and pinch your nose shut for 15 to 20 minutes so that the bleeding can stop. You can sit in any posture as long as the nose isn’t tilted backward and is at a higher level from the ground as compared to the heart.
