The Poster Contest is a platform to inspire students to exhibit their unique blends of creativity and sensitivity to safety science. Students are asked to design posters based on safety themes. This module is open to all Indian students of Classes 4–7 in Indian schools.
The theme for this year's Poster Contest is 'Safe Schools, Safer Cities'.

REGISTRATION PROCESS

EVALUATION CRITERIA

A panel comprising artists, art enthusiasts and UL personnel will judge the entries based on the following criteria: 

Understanding and
translation of idea

Proficiency in technique

Originality of thought and
clarity of message

Visual aesthetic appeal

10 posters will be shortlisted (for each of the 10 *geographical regions) and displayed at the corresponding Regional Quiz event (refer to detailer on NSSQ 2019), where students participating in the quizzes will vote for them. From each region, a Regional Winner will be chosen on the basis of the expert opinion combined with students’ votes. Terms and conditions as applicable

Poster Contest 2019 Details

Theme: Safe Schools, Safer Cities 
Paper size: A3 
Any medium, handcrafted
File size for upload: 2–4 MB 
Scan resolution: minimum 150 dpi 
Format: .jpg and .pdf only
Start date to upload entries: 15th July 
Last date to upload entries: 30th September 
Contest will be held in the following regions:
New Delhi, Dehradun, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Hyderabad, Guwahati, Kolkata, Bangalore
Participation however is not restricted to these 10 regions. 
The region should be selected at the time of registration. 

PRIZES  • Every registered participant will be issued a Certificate of Participation. This will be a printable file. All winners will be intimated online as well as through email. • Each School Winner/ Regional Winner will win Prizes.

  • TOP POSTER per Region – Rs 5000/-

*Please note that the winners will have to bear a gift tax of 30% or such rates as applicable for the time being, in case of any cash prizes that are given away at any or all stages of the NSSC.
